Michaella Jelin is a film and digital photographer based in New York City with a background in classical music and a BFA in graphic design. Her photographs feel the way a cello echoes the human voice: melodic, soulful, full of life, images that feel lived in. Buzzing through rooms, slipping between stranger and friend, chasing color and contradiction, she finds the overheard bits of private conversations: grief within celebration, the quirk nobody else caught, the weird and the tender and the falling apart. The quiet center inside the loudest rooms.
